FOOD CONTAMINATION
Every day billion of food are treated, using chemical products like: pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers and insecticides; some of this foods are selt like 100% natural or bio but is not the truth.
Overuse of chemicals for agriculture in the most "developed" countries is evident from the statistics: in Germany, Japan, Great Britain, they use more than 300 kg per hectare in Italy 104, while consumption decreased to 35 in China, 22 in Mexico, seven in Bangladesh and one in Nigeria
Chemical products include fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides: all pollute the soil, water and the food itself.
The most contaminated foods are:
- Apples and Pears;
- Tomatoes;
- Potatoes:
- Spinach and other greens;
- Celery;
- Strawberry, Raspberries and Cherries;
- Beef, Pork and Poultry;
- Milk, Cheese and Butter;
- Coffee;
- Peach and Nectarines;
- Grapes;
- Red and Green Bell Peppers.

In the next post we will discuss about the statement "GREEN WASHING" in order to expound further on how to know distinguish between bio-food and none bio-food.
